Foundations of Metropolis

Players compete over three rounds to become the city’s leading architect by purchasing deeds to empty lots and constructing buildings on them. Buildings are represented by polyomino pieces; larger, more complex buildings require multiple lots and grant greater prestige. Players draft or buy deeds, place building pieces onto their personal city area, and manage space to maximize prestige. The highest total prestige after three rounds wins the game. Gameplay follows the same core system as its predecessor but uses polyomino construction pieces and a modern metropolitan theme.
