Jekyll vs. Hyde

Two players assume opposing personas in a head-to-head trick-taking duel inspired by the novella’s split identity. One player represents Dr. Jekyll trying to preserve balance; the other plays Mr. Hyde attempting to dominate through aggressive tricks. Play unfolds over three rounds. Players compare tricks won each round and move an Identity Marker toward Mr. Hyde by the difference in tricks, with the marker advancing even if Jekyll wins more. If the marker reaches the final space, Hyde wins immediately; if it has not reached the end after three rounds, Jekyll wins.

Very good twist in trick taking games. The art is very good and different in all cards. The fact that you don't always want to win hands makes decisions very interesting.

Jekyll vs. Hyde nos ofrece un juego de bazas para dos muy diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados. El objetivo del juego no es ganar el mayor número de bazas, sino conseguir equilibrar o desequilibrar las mismas. Inicialmente pensaba que la partida iba a resultar más fácil para el Dr. Jekyll pero no es así. Estamos acostumbrados a realizar jugadas que siempre ganen la baza, pero en esta ocasión el jugador que hace de Mr. Hyde tiene que forzar ganar o perder según nos convenga, siendo una mecánica que no solemos ver . Además, los efectos de las pociones hacen que el juego sea más tenso, alocado, impredecible e interesante. Si os gustan los juegos de bazas y los juegos para dos, no podéis dejar pasar este juego.
