Gathering Storm
A strategic prewar simulation of Europe from 1935 to the outbreak of World War II, playable as a standalone scenario or linked into the larger wartime system. Players manage diplomacy, economics, production, research and mobilization, allocating resources between civilian and military priorities and using diplomatic counters to influence other powers. Random events, crisis mechanics and variable research paths create alternate timelines — from early regional conflicts to delayed entry into full-scale war. Unit construction, shipbuilding and reserve activation give immediate benefits at future cost, while tile-based economics and no-dice resolution streamline play. The game emphasizes political maneuvering and preparation rather than the combat of the full wartime system.
