Storm Over Asia

Players take control of Japan, China, Britain, or Russia in a strategic, pre–World War II simulation beginning in 1935. Japan balances expansion in China, naval and submarine programs, economic choices, and potential confrontation with the United States and the Soviet Union, while the other powers resist immediate Japanese gains and plan for a wider Pacific conflict. Play uses an event-driven system with four random events per turn, tile-and-counter economics, diplomatic allocation of influence, research tracks for multiple tech paths, flexible mobilization and unit construction options, and a tactical combat system covering China and Russo-Japanese clashes. The game can be played standalone or linked to complementary European prewar systems for a larger campaign.
