Gloom

Players control eccentric, ill-fated families in a melancholy Victorian-inspired setting. On each turn, players play transparent modifier and event cards onto character cards to inflict misfortunes or bestow fortunes, altering characters’ numerical Self-Worth values. Multiple transparent cards stack so previous modifiers remain visible and combine to show each character’s current score at a glance. The objective is to engineer the lowest total Family Value by maximizing suffering and timing deaths, while opponents try to raise those scores with positive events. The game uses transparent plastic cards and card-driven storytelling to track cumulative effects.

A pretty unique Narrative Dark-Humouristic Card Game. Simple and great if you play with the right people.
