Hill of Doves: The First Anglo-Boer War
Politics, Sieges, Weather, Supply, Gatling Guns, Rocket Tubes and more. A solitaire board game set during the First Anglo-Boer War, in which the player commands the Imperial British Army against a programmed Transvaal Republican Army. British forces must secure Laing’s Nek, on the border between Natal and the Transvaal, within twelve weeks. Strategic, operational and tactical play takes place across three boards. Weekly operational cycles manage the campaign, while strategic events and tactical assaults are resolved through programmed charts, including separate procedures for assaults and ambushes.
