History of the Ancient Seas III: MARE NOSTRUM

A HUGE game about ancient civilizations competing for dominance in the Mediterranean Sea. Players lead the Roman Empire, Carthage, the Greek city-states, Egypt, or Persia. They build armies and fleets, expand trade routes, explore unknown lands, conquer islands and provinces, and develop military, economic, and cultural power while managing the wealth, happiness, and stability of their people. The game uses an interactive action cycle in which players choose from eight actions, with each action temporarily unavailable to the next player. Each power has unique properties that shape its strategy.
