Imperial Bayonets: For Liberty & Lombardy – 1859
A grand-tactical wargame covering the 1859 campaign in Lombardy, where French and Piedmontese forces fought Austria during one of Napoleon III’s last successful campaigns. The period reflects a transition from Napoleonic warfare: cavalry has limited shock impact, while artillery plays an increasingly important role. Four standalone games recreate the campaign’s major battles.
