2012 · Card Game
IOTA
Players build a shared grid of cards by adding 1–4 cards in a single straight line connected to a starter card. Each card has three properties — color, shape and number — and a valid line of 2–4 cards must have each property either all the same or all different across the cards. On a turn a player places cards to create or extend lines, then scores the face values of cards in any lines touched that turn; cards that belong to two lines count for both. Completing a four-card line doubles the turn’s points (with additional doubling for multiple completed lines or for playing all four cards). Wild cards substitute for any specific card and may be traded back into the deck. The game ends when the draw pile is exhausted and a player plays their last card; that final turn’s points are doubled, and the highest total wins.
