Flamecraft Duals
Two players draw dragons from a bag and place them on a shared central board, building patterns and triggering each dragon’s special ability to draw or rearrange tiles. Some dragons are dual-colored with extra powers, and players match three-dragon patterns on the board to fulfill shop cards in hand and score points. Play lasts about 30 minutes and ends when the bag is empty; the highest score wins.

Rules questions
Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.
How do we pick the first player?
Each player draws a dragon token from the bag and the player who draws the dragon that is higher on the Fire Up Chart on the reference card is first; ties are redrawn, dual tokens count as the higher of their two icons and break ties (return tokens to the bag afterward). (p. 5)
On my turn, do I place a token first or resolve abilities first — what's the order?
Each turn has three phases in order: PLAY, SCORE, REFRESH; during PLAY you pull a token, place it on any empty space or on a stack (max 3), and may then optionally fire up the token you just placed. (p. 6)
Can I stack more than three tokens and do abilities affect the whole stack?
No space may ever have more than 3 tokens, and abilities affect only the dragon token currently on top of a stack (though actions like Iron can move the top token and reveal another during the same turn). (pp. 7, 9)
If I place a dual dragon token, can I use both of its abilities or count it as both types when scoring?
When firing a dual dragon token you must choose and use only one of the two depicted special abilities (do not use both), but during the SCORE phase a dual dragon may be counted as either of its two types for matching shop card patterns. (pp. 7, 10)
How do I match shop card patterns on the board — do tokens have to be in an exact orientation or can I rotate the card?
You compare the arrangement of tokens on the board to the pattern on a shop card and you may rotate the card to any orientation to find a match; dual tokens can be counted as either type when matching, and you may score more than one card on your turn. (p. 10)
When may I spend a coin and what does it do?
At any time before you REFRESH, once per turn you may spend a coin to discard it and draw 2 shop cards, then choose 2 cards from your hand to put on the bottom of the deck, and unspent coins are worth 1 ♥ each at game end. (pp. 6, 11)
