Ingenious: Travel Edition

Players place double-hex tiles on a shared hex grid, matching symbols to score in six different colors. Each tile has two hexes with symbols; when placed adjacent to existing matching symbols it scores points equal to the length of each contiguous line it touches (up to five lines per symbol). Players keep six tiles on a private rack, draw to refill from the bag, and track scores on separate color tracks. Reaching the top of any color grants an extra turn. Play ends when no tile can legally be placed; each player’s final score is the value of their lowest-scoring color, and the highest of those lowest scores wins.

If you already own Ingenious, there's no reason to buy this one unless you plan to do a lot of traveling and want the same good game in a highly portable edition. If you are interested in Ingenious, I still think I would promote the basic game, if only because it goes up to four players. Even if you will likely play two-player games only, I still think I would recommend the original game, unless money or size is an issue. At the same time, travelers will love Ingenious, as it takes a good abstract game and makes it easy to setup and play. See my mini-review for more details...

No me gusto mucho, lo veo muy simple al menos a dos jugadores.
