2016 · Card Game
Karmaka
Players cycle through repeating lives as lowly creatures striving to ascend a metaphysical ladder toward Transcendence. Each hand represents a life: players play cards for effects, score points to advance on the ladder, and set aside cards into a Future Life pile that becomes their next opening hand. Played cards can be captured by opponents into their own Future Life, creating strategic tension between using cards now and preventing them from returning to haunt the next life. Games combine hand-management, area interaction, and light take-that elements as players balance immediate benefits, long-term planning, and interference with rivals across multiple lives.

What a great and gorgeous game! Not even the art is breathtaking also the mechanics are really clever. Can't find a game like this one. What a gem!
