7 Wonders Duel
A two-player civilization game played over three ages where players acquire cards to gain resources, military strength, scientific progress, or to build wonders. Cards are taken from a shared tableau of face-up and face-down cards; a card can only be chosen if it is not covered by others, and some cards grant immediate bonus actions. Each acquired card may be built, discarded for coins, or spent to construct one of the player's wonder projects, which grant special abilities when completed. Players may buy resources from a central supply or obtain resource-producing cards that raise the opponent's purchase costs. Victory can come from military conquest, scientific dominance, or highest score after the third age.

Garfield8.0 #39 I like it more than the original one. Why? Because it's a 1:1 duel where you really care what the other is doing. Really good 2 player game.
Vic Granell9.0 Super tight design! Love the variability and replayability.
Rules questions
Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.
If I already produce the required resource(s), do I still have to pay or spend them to build a card?
No — produced resources are not spent and can be used every turn, so if your city produces all required resources you build without buying; additionally, some Age II/III cards can be built for free via chaining if you already own the linked Building (free construction). (pages 8–9)
How much do I pay to buy a missing resource from my opponent?
Each missing resource costs 2 + (the number of that resource produced by your opponent’s brown/grey cards), paid to the bank, and yellow cards/Wonders are not counted in that calculation; you may buy any number of resources on your turn. (page 8; examples page 9)
Do I pay the Age card’s cost when I build a Wonder, and is there a limit to how many Wonders can be built?
You pay the Wonder’s printed cost (not the Age card’s), place the Age card face-down under the Wonder to show it’s built, and only seven Wonders may be constructed in the game — when the 7th is built the remaining unbuilt Wonder is returned to the box. (page 11)
When does an Age end and who starts the next Age?
An Age ends when all 20 cards in that Age’s structure have been played; the player with the weaker military (the Conflict pawn on their side) chooses who begins the next Age, and if the pawn is in the middle the last active player (who played the last card) begins. (page 11)
How do military shields move the Conflict pawn and how can you win by military?
Each shield on a built red card or Wonder immediately moves the Conflict pawn one space toward the opponent per shield, triggering any zone token when entering a new zone; if the pawn reaches your opponent’s capital space you immediately win by military supremacy. (page 12; military token effects page 14)
How do scientific symbols and Progress tokens work, and how does scientific victory happen?
Whenever you collect a pair of identical scientific symbols you may immediately take one available Progress token and keep it for the game, and if you collect six different scientific symbols you immediately win the game by scientific supremacy. (page 12; Progress token descriptions page 14)
