Krev a Písek

In Krev a Písek (Blood and Sand), players are gladiators who are trying to come out on top in the arena. Each player starts the round with a hand of cards, and everyone secretly chooses and reveals a single card to serve as their starting attack value. In turn, each player plays a card to add to their attack, repel an opponent's attack with a defense card, or modify an attack or prevent a defense; alternatively, a player can pass to skip one turn. If all players are out of cards or pass in turn, the round ends, and whoever has the highest attack value wins. If, however, a player would increase their attack value to 5, they win the round immediately. The round's winner receives Roman denarii, and whoever first collects 5 Roman denarii wins.
