Linx

2023 · Abstract Strategy

Linx

Players take turns placing either face-up “Front” tiles or face-down “Back” tiles on a shared grid that is limited to either 4x4 or 5x5 depending on setup. Front tiles must be placed adjacent to an existing tile and grant the player two draws when placed; Back tiles are placed to cover an opponent’s face-up tile according to a rock–paper–scissors relationship, do not grant draws, and become blocked from being covered. A player wins by aligning three Front tiles of their color or by aligning three Back tiles of their color. The game supports a two-vs-two team variant.
