Manhattan Project: Energy Empire
Players lead nations through the mid-to-late 20th century industrial era, developing industry, commerce, and government by acquiring resources, building structures, and harnessing energy sources. Gameplay mixes worker placement, tableau-building, and resource management. On a turn a player either works—placing a worker on the main board and activating tableau cards using workers and energy—or generates, rolling energy dice to replenish power from various sources like coal, oil, nuclear, and solar. Players may also spend energy to use occupied main-board spaces, so actions remain available. Industrial growth raises pollution and global risks; science and mitigation cards help reduce environmental impacts and avert crises.
