Marignan 1515: La Chevauchée de François 1er en Italie

This historical simulation covers the Fifth Italian War from July 1515 to February 1517, including the Battle of Marignano. One player commands France and its Venetian and Genoese allies, while the other leads the Swiss Confederacy and the Holy League. Both sides seek control of Milan and imperial territories in Venice, while winning battles and sieges or neutralizing enemy allies. The game combines strategic movement and diplomacy on a map of Northern and Central Italy with tactical battles on a period battlefield. Players manage gold to pay mercenary troops, including Swiss soldiers and German landsknechts, who may leave if unpaid. Units include pikemen, men-at-arms, cavalry, firearms, artillery, and pioneers, with tactical chits representing charges, formations, harassment, terrain, weather, and other battlefield events. Each turn includes reinforcements, movement, attrition, combat, diplomacy, and victory checks.
