2013 · Economic
Nations
Guide a civilization from prehistoric origins to the eve of World War I, managing population, food, economy, and cultural achievements. Players choose a nation and difficulty, reveal historical events each round, then take repeated small actions—buy cards, place workers, hire architects for wonders, or use card powers—until everyone passes. Rounds include growth, production, shifting turn order, event resolution, and periodic scoring. Interaction is indirect and nonspatial: players compete for resources, cards, events, and turn-order positions rather than moving units on a map. Victory is determined by accumulated victory points from actions, events, and end-game scoring.
