Ogoola Karuta: 1-100 English Complete
A westernized adaptation of a traditional Japanese card game, set during the Genpei War. Players compete in two teams using 100 English-language poems and quotations, with one deck showing complete texts and the other showing their matching second parts. A reader or app reads each quotation aloud, and players race to find the corresponding card among those arranged in rows. Taking a card from the opponent’s side requires giving them one from your own. Players can organize the cards strategically and use familiarity with the quotations to improve their speed. The first team to clear its side of cards wins.
