Protocol

A rules-light roleplaying game about disparate characters facing adversity through shared storytelling. Players create characters and environments, establish motivations, and develop the plot through vignettes, interrogations, interludes, and ensemble scenes. The game can be played with or without a gamemaster, with the latter as the recommended approach. It uses charts, a deck of cards, and paper and pencils; no dice are required. Drama-point tokens are optional.
