Players act as gardeners developing a bamboo grove by coloring sections on a personal score sheet to add shoots, watering holes, fish, and ladybugs. Each turn a player rolls four colored pencils (green, yellow, pink, blue) and picks one; other players choose in turn from the remaining colors. All players then simultaneously color a bamboo section that matches both the chosen color and the symbol (circle, square, triangle) on the pencil ring. Play continues until a player completes their bamboo grove; scoring reflects garden features and completion to determine the best gardener.
