Tarock
A family of Central European point-trick games played with a 54-card Tarock deck that includes four suits plus a permanent trump suit of 22 Tarock cards. Play typically begins with a round of bidding to determine the declarer, followed by optional announcements and doublings that commit players to bonus objectives. Players then play tricks, following suit and using trumps when required; scoring awards points for captured counters and for achieving announced commitments. Variants support two to five players and differ in hand size, talon handling, partnership selection, and specific bidding and announcement rules.
