The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Players accompany Bilbo Baggins and his thirteen dwarf companions on a journey through Mirkwood Forest and Laketown to the gold-filled caverns of Lonely Mountain. Along the way, the group faces spiders, elves, orcs, and the dragon Smaug. The game uses two boards, each presenting greater challenges as players try to survive and prepare for the dangers ahead. New elements include the Dragon’s Path and the Dwarven Barrel Escape. The group’s final score reflects how effectively the players work together. This is a standalone game that can also be combined with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
