Warhammer: Diskwars

Players command armies in the Old World, using large cardboard disks to represent heroes and units on a modular battlefield. Each turn, players flip disks to move and rotate them, using overlap to pin enemy disks and control positioning. Overlapped disks cannot activate and are resolved in combat at round end, so maneuvering and timing determine which units fight and which remain locked down. The game includes rules for building hero-centric forces, terrain and objective cards, and a suite of command cards. The core set provides a full, non-collectible package of components for two to four players and focused tabletop skirmishes.

A tabletop miniature's experience without the expensive and time consuming miniature's. This is the best thing to get for someone who wants to have epic table top wars but doesn't want to invest all of their time and money into miniature gaming.
