Wars of the Roses

A strategic wargame covering the 15th-century English civil wars between the Houses of Lancaster and York. Players command historical kings, nobles, and military leaders, whose abilities affect battles, recruitment, and control of areas across Britain. Players alternate moving their units according to initiative. After movement, battles are resolved, area control is determined, and new armies are raised. Victory points are gained mainly through controlling areas over 15 turns, representing a year of conflict.
