2015 · Card Game
Joraku
Players command rival daimyō and march samurai across Sengoku-era Japan to seize control of regions and build reputation. Each round players draw and pass a hand of skirmish cards, then play cards in successive tricks to resolve local battles; winning skirmishes grants control tokens and a special kachidoki marker. Players place samurai cubes to bid influence in areas, score reputation points from area charts during the prestige phase, and carry samurai positions between rounds. The game is played over three rounds; the daimyō with the most reputation at the end wins.
