Basilica

Two medieval master masons oversee the construction of a cathedral while competing for influence. Players build the cathedral by placing square tiles in adjacent rows and areas of four colors, then assign builder pawns to claim control of these sections. Each tile also provides a special action that can be used instead of placing it. Actions move or promote pawns and manipulate the cathedral layout, while unused tiles and actions remain available to the opponent. A King pawn marks royal visits, when controlled areas are scored according to their size and the number of sections held. After the final scoring, the player with more Victory Points wins.
