Players assemble teams of monsters from across the horror spectrum, including vampires, zombies, and werewolves, then protect innocent characters, consume them, or pursue other scenario objectives. Gameplay emphasizes story-driven scenarios and plot twist cards alongside tactical miniatures combat. Pre-painted figures use combat dials to track changing statistics and provide supernatural powers and abilities. Character cards add fiction and rules details for each creature, while starter sets, booster expansions, and collector sets introduce additional monsters and scenarios.
