Knave (1st Ed)

A rules toolkit for running old-school fantasy roleplaying games without character classes. Each player character is a tomb-raiding adventurer whose role is shaped by carried equipment, allowing easy shifts between weapons, tools, and spellbooks. The system uses six standard abilities for d20 rolls, supports optional player-facing rolls, and is designed for compatibility with existing OSR bestiaries, adventures, and spell collections. It includes 100 level-less spells, a copper-based equipment economy, designer commentary, and editable source text for creating a custom ruleset.
