Onami

A strategic two-player card game played on a 5×5 grid. Each player draws five cards, with every card showing a different number on each of its north, east, south, and west faces. On a turn, a player places and rotates a card, marks it with their token, and draws a replacement. When a card is placed next to an opponent’s card, the adjacent values are compared. A higher value can capture the opposing card, with the difference between the values determining the potential length of a chain reaction. Captured cards can change control as further neighboring cards are affected, requiring both offensive and defensive play.
