Puzzle of Oz

A color-placement puzzle uses five stones in each of five colors on a playing area shaped like a broad plus sign. Players place four stones in the outer squares, then add the remaining stones one at a time beside those already placed. The aim is to avoid matching colors in any orthogonally or diagonally adjacent spaces. The game includes both solitaire rules and a competitive two-player version.
