Race the Wind

A sailing race recreates the movements and tactics of a regatta or match race without cards or dice. Players maneuver boats around a course between the downwind gate and upwind buoy, adjusting the course length and responding to wind direction, gusts, falls, overlaps, and wind shadows. After a sequence of starting moves, boats pass through the gate and complete three upwind and three downwind legs before crossing the finish line. The game supports individual play or crews competing together.
