Road to the Rhine

A two-player operational-level simulation of the Western Front campaigns from September 1944 to April 1945. Players command Allied and German ground formations and air wings across five scenarios, including a full campaign covering the Allied advance, the German recovery and Battle of the Bulge, and the final drive across the Rhine. Weekly turns use seven-mile hexes and division- and brigade-sized units. Flexible player turns feature multiple impulses driven by supply expenditure, with reserve movement and combat phases between them. Supply, port capacity, and logistics shape operations, while combat uses odds, strength modifiers, air support, airborne assaults, commandos, and specialized armor. The game supports solitaire play and three players.
