Fighting for central Stalingrad and the vital ferry landings from September 14 to September 27, 1942. This area-movement game depicts the battle between the German 6th Army and Soviet 62nd Army. Players alternate placing reinforcements and moving units before resolving combat in contested areas. A solitaire mode controls Soviet reinforcements and movement while the player commands the German side. Germany wins by eliminating all Soviet units or controlling designated victory regions by Turn 9; otherwise, the Soviet side wins.
