Sultaniya

Sultaniya is a board game for 2–4 players. It plays in 45 minutes and is meant for ages 8 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 4.

Players compete to construct the grandest multi-layered palace in an Arabian Nights–inspired city to earn the highest score. On each turn players draft one of several face-up building tiles from color-coded stacks and place it onto their personal palace board, matching structural attributes such as doorways and columns and expanding outward from a starting triangle without creating holes. Tiles are double-sided and can be flipped for mirror placements. Tiles grant victory points and sapphires; sapphires purchase genies that grant special powers (extra builds, tile movement, etc.). Players score for patterns and board-specific attributes and pursue two secret objectives. The game ends when a player places their fifth sky-layer tile; highest score wins.
