The Queen's Gambit

In this Scarred Lands adventure for 4–6 characters of APL 11–16, the necromancer Maghiel attempts to eliminate a persistent group of adventurers by infiltrating it with her halfling assistant, Haplo. He claims to have escaped with scrolls containing the Censure of Mesos, a ritual capable of weakening Maghiel’s magic. To perform the ritual, the party must create an effigy using a personal item belonging to Maghiel, gather capable spellcasters and proxies, and travel through the Festering Fields to the library of Lokil and the Twisted Path, a place of power in the Titanshome Mountains. The adventure includes new creatures and conversions and continues the Vengeance of the Shunned campaign.
