This storytelling toolkit deconstructs Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s mystery for writers and roleplayers. It includes the original story and step-by-step guidance for defining the goals and stakes of an adaptation, planning its beginning, middle, and end, and identifying the locations, characters, and other elements required. The framework supports reimagining the story in different genres and settings to create original fiction or tabletop adventures. It is system-agnostic and can be used on its own or with ReadWriteRoll.
