Battle Lines

This Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition expansion provides rules for placing the party at the center of large-scale battles. Enemies are organized into battle units, with special formations including lines, phalanxes, repelling rings, and wedges. Eleven scenarios have the party fighting as a single unit while the wider battle unfolds around them. Their actions influence the battle’s outcome without requiring direct control of an army. Guidance for assembling units, along with special champions and unique character units, adds further options.
