Blackwheel Company: The Twentieth Lash

A one-round faction adventure for 13th- to 16th-level characters, set in Xen’drik. The party helps a dragon shaman hunt down a rogue scholar who has turned to demon worship after discovering an ancient prison containing the joined spirits of a couatl and a rakshasa rajah. The adventure leads through a hidden temple inhabited by amphibious yuan-ti and into the prison’s failing wards. Characters uncover the struggle between the imprisoned spirits, confront the deranged dragon, and determine whether the prison should be sealed or its demonic occupant freed. Success also reveals secrets needed to interpret the remaining Caldyn Fragments.
