Players vie to control the realm by recruiting followers and winning the votes of five factions. The game plays in two phases: first players draft cards to build a pool of followers, then they use those followers to contest trick-taking rounds for each faction. Each faction grants a unique power that can differ between the recruitment and voting phases, affecting hand management and trick outcomes. At the end of the game, majority control of a faction awards its vote; the first player to secure at least three faction votes wins. Faction sets are modular and can be mixed with content from the earlier game.
