Commands & Colors Tricorne: Jacobite Rising

A two-player battlefield game about the Jacobite Risings, with one player commanding the Jacobite forces and the other leading the Government army. Thirteen scenarios recreate battles and skirmishes including Killicrankie, Prestonpans, Falkirk, and Culloden. Players use Command cards to order units across a hex-grid battlefield divided into three sections. Infantry, cavalry, artillery, and leaders move and fight according to their orders, with combat resolved by dice and Victory Banners awarded for eliminating opposing units. Terrain tiles shape each scenario, while separate Combat card decks reflect the differing abilities and battlefield doctrines of the Highland Clans and Government forces. Morale rules can cause units to flee even before suffering heavy losses.
