Players assemble a party of adventurers and push deeper into a dungeon to collect experience by defeating monsters, claiming treasure, and confronting a dragon. Each turn one player acts as the Adventurer and rolls seven party dice to recruit companions and use special actions, while another player rolls dungeon dice that generate monsters and dragon threat. Party dice faces represent companion types and scrolls; matching companions defeat monsters, open chests, heal allies, and secure treasure tokens drawn from the chest-shaped box. If dragon faces reach a threshold the party must battle the dragon, which requires a mix of companion types to defeat. After a set number of rounds players total experience points to determine the winner.
