Enemy Action: Kharkov

A card-driven, hex-and-counter wargame that simulates the Third Battle of Kharkov on the Eastern Front in 1943. Players command regiments up to divisions on an oversized hex map at 7.5 miles per hex, resolving movement and diceless, chartless combat via drawn combat chits and multi-purpose cards used to activate formations, trigger events, or gain tactical effects. Supports two-player competition or solitaire play with an AI system that hides many enemy units until contact, models partisan activity, offensive and withdrawal under fire, armor depletion, rapid redeployment, forward support, and spring thaw/mud conditions. Turns represent three days with multiple impulses; playing time ranges from short scenarios to full-campaign sessions.
