Fear Itself

A horror roleplaying game about ordinary people drawn into confrontations with alien creatures from the Outer Black, an unearthly realm hidden behind the modern world. Characters investigate disturbing events, follow core clues, and face threats that can erode their sanity. Risk factors, personal relationships, sources of stability, and each character’s worst deed shape play. Psychic abilities offer powerful investigative tools at a cost to sanity, while flashbacks and directed scenes explore personal fears and conflicts. The game supports both deadly one-shot scenarios and ongoing campaigns, with guidance for running investigations and horror adventures.
