Fields of Fire

Solitaire tactical wargame in which the player commands a rifle company across mid-20th century conflicts. Play uses two card decks: a Terrain deck that constructs mission maps tied to specific regions, and an Action deck that governs combat, command-and-control, and activity attempts. Units are represented by counters for headquarters, squads, weapons teams, observers, vehicles and helicopters. Individual scenarios are played as single missions; multiple missions link into campaigns to manage experience and replacements. Gameplay is diceless and card-driven, and a mission typically takes about one to four hours to complete.
