HeroQuest: Into the Northlands

A solo quest designed to ready a single hero for the harsher encounters introduced in the Frozen Horror expansion. The scenario sends the hero into the northern wilds to recover a lost artifact and face icy, monster-filled dungeons. Includes optional tools for the game master to scale difficulty when running monsters, clarifications and errata for mechanics that previously felt punitive, and playtest rules for bringing an animal companion along on solo runs. Also presents an alternate movement system used in playtesting that speeds exploration while retaining combat hazards.
