Stories range from plantations and Civil War battlefields to Louisiana bayous, mountain forests, rural roads, and modern city streets. Players create characters using a flexible, realistic system, including ageless figures who have witnessed decades or centuries of Southern history. Flashback rules support adventures in different historical eras, while the game includes guidance on Southern history, geography, and supernatural beliefs, plus a lighter rules system for casual or live-action play.
