Hyperborea: Light & Shadow

Hyperborea: Light & Shadow is a board game for 2–6 players. It plays in 60–180 minutes and is meant for ages 13 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 3.

Six factions compete across Hyperborea to recover and use ancient Relics containing trapped souls. Players explore ruins, draft and manage Soul Cubes (black and white) and deploy relics to gain abilities and influence. Gameplay mixes tableau-building, resource management and area control as players develop technologies, expand their presence on the map and contest sites containing Relics. Actions include drafting cubes, activating relic powers, upgrading units and resolving conflicts between factions. Rounds progress through exploration and conflict phases, with scoring tied to control of territories, relic use and faction-specific objectives.
