Interceptor Ace: Daylight Air Defense Over Germany, 1943-44

A solitaire tactical air-combat game that puts the player in command of a German interceptor pilot during the 1943–44 daytime bombing campaign. Each turn covers several days and sends the pilot on sorties from one of multiple European bases to intercept incoming American bomber formations. Players fly individual fighters with detailed stats (availability date, speed, weapons, damage, crew status), resolve intercepts and multi-round aerial combat, and handle takeoff, weather, navigation to intercept points, and landing. Experience and Prestige points let the pilot purchase skills, improve wingman and gunner capabilities, request transfers or newer aircraft, and pursue awards and promotions. Play repeats sorties until the pilot is lost or the campaign ends; optional multiplayer cooperative and competitive modes are included.
