Players take the roles of Beta-class humanoid lifeforms, part human and part animal, created and owned by a corporation. They are sent to new worlds to locate exploitable resources and pacify dangerous indigenous lifeforms. Characters undertake missions, manage the risks of their assignments, and try to survive long enough to earn enough money to buy their freedom.
